Ceresit CT190 Adhesive and Reinforcing Mortar for Mineral Wool External Wall Insulation Slabs

Ceresit CT190 is a high quality adhesive and reinforcing mortar designed to use on external thermal insulation composite systems using mineral wool panels. It is also a part of Ceresit Wool Classic insulation system. Ceresit CT190 is used for fixing of mineral wool slabs and for applying the reinforcing protection layers to the new builds as well to thermo-renovating existing buildings. A reinforcing mesh can be embedded in it.

APPLICATIONS

• Mix until the homogeneous mass is obtained without lumps.
• Apply with a trowel along the board edges forming a strip and a few spots in the middle.
• Press the board to the wall with a few slight blows of a long float.
• The properly applied mortar when pressed should cover minimum 40% of its surface.
• The glass-fibre mesh should be applied on the fresh mortar with 10-cm overlaps, and then the second layer should be applied and smoothed evenly so that the glass fibre mesh would not be visible.
• Mortar would be set in about 3 days, then the boards should be ground with abrasive paper and additionally fixed with mechanical anchors with steel fixings.
