20mm Rockwool Frontrock S is a rigid high density thermal and acoustic insulation slab made from volcanic rock, thus extremely durable, fire resistant and specifically created for external wall applications to go directly under render. Using Frontrock S you can be sure that the facade will be durable and safe. The slabs are made from 97% recyclable and renewable material which also makes them environmentally friendly since they can lower the carbon footprint of the household. They can be placed on walls made of silicate, reinforced concrete and ceramic hollow bricks.
APPLICATION
Frontrock S non-combustible stone wool boards are used to insulate:- Staircase walls,
- Window and door jambs,
- Balconies.
- External walls of newly constructed multi-family buildings,
- Also as insulation from the side of an unheated room (e.g. underground garages).
CHARACTERISTICS
- Excellent thermal and acoustic performance,
- Less heat loss,
- Lower energy bills for heating and air conditioning,
- Better building protection (durability and fire safety),
- Greater comfort for building users,
- Better acoustics inside rooms,
- Temperature stability,
- Better indoor microclimate,
- Less risk of mould and fungus occurrence.
- Before insulating the wall surface, whether plastered or not, clean it mechanically, using brushes or water under high pressure.
- However, after cleaning, old, highly absorbent substrates are additionally covered with an appropriate primer.
- Care must be taken to maintain an appropriate distance between the ends of the flashing and the façade surface to allow for the drainage of rainwater.
- Before gluing the Frontrock S boards, install a plinth strip with a drip at a height of approx. 40 cm from the ground level.
- Glue the stone wool façade panels in a staggered manner.
- Insulation of external walls should only be carried out at positive temperatures.
- It is best when the external temperature of the air, substrate and built-in material is between +5°C and +25°C.
- Work should not be carried out in very strong wind or sunlight.
